(May, 2008) - The Emerald Coast Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association announced at their April meeting, held at Bogans Kitchen & Bath Showroom in Daphne, Alabama, the winning entries for their 2007 Design Competition. The 6 top awards for this prestigious design competition went to, Cheryl Kees Clendenon of InDetail Kitchen & Bath, Pensacola, FL, 1st and 2nd Place for Best Overall Kitchen, 1st Place for Best Overall Bathroom New Construction and 2nd Place for Best Overall Bathroom Renovation. Katheryn W. Cowles,CKD,CBD of K.W. Cowles Design & Cabinet Division of Paul Cowles Construction, Inc. took 3rd Place for Best Overall Kitchen and 1st Place for Best Overall Bathroom Renovation. Page 1 of 2 The design entries were judges by a panel of eminent judges chaired by Alyce Flournoy-Jones,ASID. Other members of the panel were Abagail Bogan Ackerman of Bogan Kitchen & Bath, Amy Calhound, designer for West Calhoun Construction, Nenna McNeely of McNeely & Company, Mobile, Alabama, and Megan Youngblood, Editor of Pensacola Magazine Home & Garden. All entries were judged on Visual Appeal, Creativity, the Elements and Principals of Design, Presentation and Basic Safety and Ergonomics incorporated into the overall design.
